CS 325 - Introduction to BioinformaticsA hands-on, project-oriented interdisciplinary introduction to molecular bioinformatics. The course takes the definition of bioinformatics to be the science of examining the structure, function, and evolution of genes and proteins through the use of computational analysis, statistics, visualization, and pattern recognition. Prerequisites: CS 310 - Data Structures and Algorithms or BIOL 300 - Genetics . Credits: 3 NOTE: * This course counts toward the 63-credit Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement. |
