JINS 315 - Nuclear Weaponry

We will study nuclear weapons from the discovery of the atomic nucleus to the present. A given instantiation of the course may also approach the subject from the point of view of the physicist, the culture-critic, or other ways of knowing that instructor and students bring to the conversation. The class will be discussion-oriented, and a few labs may be incorporated into the class meetings, with a considerable amount of reading and writing.

Credits: 3 hours
NOTE: This course fulfills the Junior Interdisciplinary Writing-Enhanced Seminar Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
