SOAN 297 - Introduction to Native North America This course is intended to provide a clear and thorough introduction to the study of the native people of the United States and Canada accessible to students of any background and of all majors. Emphasis is placed on the cultural and linguistic diversity of North American native peoples, historical process, and contemporary issues and conditions.
Credits: 3 NOTE:
* This course fulfills the Social Scientific Mode of Inquiry and the Intercultural Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
** This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
