COMM 420 - Intercultural Communication This course is a survey of the nature, processes, and consequences of communication between individuals and groups from different cultures and/or subcultures. Students learn to recognize and evaluate the behavioral, communicative, political, and ethical consequences in such interactions.
Prerequisites: COMM 170 - Public Speaking , or equivalent, and junior or senior status. Credits: 3 NOTE:
* This course fulfills the Intercultural Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
** This course counts toward the 63-credit Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
*** The Communication Course Fee applies to this course.
