SPAN 455 - Introduction to Translation An introduction to the basic concepts and skills required in the translation from English to Spanish and vice-versa. The course examines the principal aspects of contrastive grammar and stylistics used in translation while providing practical opportunities to apply the material.
Prerequisite: SPAN 450 - Advanced Spanish Grammar and Composition with a grade of “C” or higher.
Recommended: One 400-level Spanish Literature course. Credits: 3 When Offered: (spring, odd years) NOTE:
* Honors Scholar Course.
** This course counts toward the 63-credit Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
