HLTH 198 - Personal Health and Fitness The purpose of this course is to integrate material from a range of disciplines (but not limited to) human physiology, psychology, sociology, and nutrition to present an interdisciplinary framework for disease prevention and health promotion. The course focus is to promote a behavioral lifestyle change in which students integrate into their lives patterns of physical activity, health, and well-being.
Credits: 2 NOTE:
* In conjunction with HLTH 198L this course fulfills the Personal Well-Being Essential Skill component of the Liberal Studies Program.
** This course counts toward the 63-credit Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
*** Students may not receive credit toward graduation for both HLTH 195/196 and HLTH 198/198L.
