HIST 321 - American Intellectual History, 1860-2000 This course traces major ideas and themes in American thought from the mid-19th century to the recent past, with a focus on political and social criticism, philosophy, theology, and literary theory and an emphasis on the intellectual biographies of the men and women who advanced arguments in these fields of thought.
