SOAN 250 - Global Focus This course offers an opportunity for students to explore one of a variety of selected topics in Sociology or Anthropology that reflect the increasingly global and interconnected nature of culture and society. Topics will be chosen on the basis of the particular interests and expertise of faculty, and the interests of students in the program. As a 200-level class in Sociology/Anthropology major, it is also designed to build critical thinking skills through assignments that focus on analyzing arguments and developing opinions and positions based on evidence and careful reasoning.
Credits: 3 NOTES:
*This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
**This course fulfills the Social Scientific Mode of Inquiry and the Intercultural Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
