ES 235 - Fundamental Movement and Tumbling This course is designed for Exercise Science majors planning to teach physical education and elementary education majors completing requirements for certification. This course explores the organization, planning and administration of elementary school physical education programs. Methods of teaching, motivational techniques and safe instruction for all basic fundamental movement and tumbling concepts are addressed. Identification of growth and development patterns and their influence on student behavior in the physical education setting are also explored. Note: Professional preparation course for Exercise Science majors and Pre-MAE students.
Prerequisites: ES 195 - Instructional Strategies in Physical Education and Health or ED 389 - Foundations of Education . Credit(s): 3
