This course covers the structure, organization and function of cells, with an emphasis on eukaryotes. Topics include macromolecular structure, biological membranes, functions of major organelles, protein and vesicular trafficking, bioenergetics, the cytoskeleton and cell-cell communication. Biology majors are required to take Cell Biology OR BIOL 315 - Animal Physiology OR BIOL 322 - Principles of Human Physiology OR BIOL 332 - Plant Physiology.
