ENG 618G - Studies in Diverse Literature This graduate seminar focuses on the experiences of communities that are too often overlooked in the Anglophone canon of literary arts, music, philosophy, religion, history, and culture. It explores a number of methodologies in areas such as race studies, (im)migration studies, queer theory, and social justice; and it engages issues such as environmental and institutionalized racism, socioeconomic status, and intersectional identities (e.g. race, class, gender, ability) in an American and/or world literature context. May be repeated under different topics.
