BIOL 517 - Mammalogy


An introduction to the orders of mammals, and exploration of their origin and evolutionary adaptions. To gain knowledge and an introduction to contemporary methods in mammalogy, this course will rely on scientific literature. Students will learn to use dichotomous keys to identify species native to Missouri and conduct original research. Laboratory included.

Prerequisite(s): BIOL 104 - Ecology and Evolution of the Organism  AND BIOL 300 - Genetics  AND (STAT 190 - Basic Statistics  or STAT 290 - Statistics ).
