CMDS 564G - Voice Disorders This course is designed to present students with a comprehensive introduction to voice and voice disorders. To that end, the lecture and discussion format will include coverage of: anatomy of the phonatory and respiratory systems; physiology of normal and abnormal voice production incorporating respiratory, laryngeal, and oral/nasal cavity contributions; etiologies of voice disorders; diagnostic procedures used to delineate voice disorders and the prognosis for improvement; and application of a variety of intervention strategies for voice disorders.
