COUN 641G - Professional Orientation and Ethics This is an introductory counseling course covering some of the basic issues and trends in the counseling profession. Issues to be addressed include history of the helping professions, professional roles and functions, professional organizations, ethical standards and legal issues, professional preparation standards, professional credentialing, and public policy processes.
