CS 191 - Computing Structures


Uses the computer as a tool to introduce discrete structures and techniques for computing. Analysis of algorithms, methods of proof, counting techniques, and discrete probability.

Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in CS 180 - Foundations of Computer Science I  and completion of the Pre-Calculus or Calculus STEM Perspective in the Dialogues (MATH 156 - College Algebra  and MATH 157 - Plane Trigonometry ) or MATH 186 - Precalculus  or MATH 187 - Calculus I with Precalculus Review I  or MATH 192 - Essentials of Calculus  or MATH 198 - Analytic Geometry and Calculus I .
