ENG 246 - British Literatures: Topics This course examines topics and/or time periods in British literature, including Old English, Medieval, Renaissance, 17th Century, 18th Century, Romanticism, Victorian, Modern, and Contemporary periods. Topics, time periods, authors, and texts may vary. Analysis of the topic stresses both works’ intrinsic values and their contributions to British history and culture. Students will learn more about the historical, cultural, and intellectual background of the literature, including increased intercultural awareness of ideologies, genres, genders, and social classes. May be repeated under different topics.
