MUSI 339 - Music Literature Western European art music of the common practice period (c. 1600-1900). The course is organized according to different musical genres (symphony, concerto, chamber music, Lieder, and keyboard literature) and places an emphasis upon understanding and recognizing musical styles within an historical context.
