SPAN 360 - US Latino Culture in Historical Context This course, which is taught in Spanish, examines Mexican-American, Puerto Rican, Cuban and other Latino cultures in the US by means of the history, art, and literature of each group. In addition to history and politics, the course explores cultural themes such as identity, gender relations, education and migration. Students further develop their strategies for reading, writing, speaking, and literary analysis, as well as deepening their understanding of vocabulary, including idiomatic expressions.
