ED 520G - Principles of Early Childhood Education This course is designed to develop basic philosophical, planning, management, assessment, and implementation skills to support the development and learning of young children from birth to eight years of age. Developmentally appropriate practices for early childhood within the context of the school, family, and community are addressed. Field experience of 60 hours in a prekindergarten and kindergarten setting is required in this course.
