PDAT 610G - Introduction to Data Science This course introduces students to the world of data science by providing an overview of the discipline and in-depth exposure to the statistical software environment R, as well as common statistical analyses. Upon completion of this course, students will have a solid foundation upon which to build in completing the remainder of the courses that make up the data science certificate program.
Credit(s): 3 Prerequisite(s): Successful completion of an introductory computer science course, such as CS 170 - Introduction to Computer Science I or CS 180 - Foundations of Computer Science I , and STAT 190 - Basic Statistics , or their equivalent in coursework or experience. Registration Restriction(s): Graduate Students Only.
