ART 303 - Art Bus: Encounters with Professional Practices


This course is an intensive urban art experience. Students travel with Art Department faculty to a city such as Kansas City, St. Louis, Des Moines, Chicago, or Minneapolis to attend art exhibitions, meet local artists, visit museums and other art centers and artist businesses over a four day period. The group may visit graduate programs. Students will also participate in preparatory research and written reflection. This trip will be focused on professional practices and learning about the art world. Students will pay a course fee that will cover transportation, lodging, tickets and entry fees.
