HIST 3430 - Medieval and Early Modern European Women’s History This course explores the history of European women from ca. 200 CE to 1700 CE. Major themes include the impact of Christianity, politics, the economy, the Renaissance, the Reformation, and the law on the lives of women. Changing attitudes towards womanhood, sexuality, reproduction, and the family are also discussed, as are women’s power and independence.
