ES 245 - Nutrition for Health, Fitness, and Sport This course is a foundation course in nutrition and is intended for all exercise science students. It provides a conceptual framework of nutrition principles on which future formal and informal education is based. This course has been designed to enable students to critique their nutritional intake and to distinguish valid nutritional information. The course covers terminology, nutrients, dietary guidelines, energy expenditure, food labels, health management, eating disorders, lifecycle nutrition, disease management, and health promotion.
