NU 240 - Assessment & Fundamentals I NU 240 Assessment & Fundamentals I is the first of a two-class sequence that introduces holistic caring strategies through integration of concepts of communication, client assessment, and fundamental nursing skills. Emphasis is placed on transpersonal interactions between the nurse and client and safe execution of skills. Students utilize the nursing process and the science of human care nursing to apply didactic material through clinical simulation to complete history and physical assessment techniques. The course consists of three major components: didactic, laboratory, and nursing fundamental skills modules.
