Japanese Minor

The minor in Japanese offers opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of cultural, linguistics, and societal diversity by focusing on studies of Japan, including traditional and modern culture, language, literature, history and religion. With the approval of the Department of Classical and Modern Languages, courses taken in International Studies Exchange or Study Abroad Programs in Japan can be substituted for courses listed below.

Program Requirements:


This minor requires the successful completion of 15-17 credit hours as listed below. Two courses may double count toward a major or toward a second minor.

Note:


Two of the above requirements may be satisfied by JPN 353 - Modern and Traditional Japan  Credits:6 (with approval of instructor)
