Classical Studies Minor

Program Requirements:

The Classical Studies Minor requires the successful completion of at least 15 semester hours of the following courses:

At least two courses at the intermediate level or higher in either the Greek or Latin language sequence;

plus three of the following courses:

• Additional courses from higher-level (300+) Greek or Latin language courses
• Language courses at any level in the other language sequence

• CLAS 342 - Greek Civilization Credits: 3
• CLAS 352 - Roman Civilization Credits: 3
• CLAS 361 - Greek and Roman Mythology Credits: 3
• CLAS 363 - Women and Gender in Antiquity Credits: 3
• COMM 390 - Classical Rhetoric Credits: 3
• HIST 342 - Ancient Greece Credits: 4
• HIST 343 - Ancient Rome Credits: 4
• PHRE 336 - Classical Greek Philosophy Credits: 3

Note:

No grade of “D” is accepted toward the Classical Studies Minor.
