Spanish Minor

Program Requirements:
The Spanish Minor requires the successful completion of 15 credits, including the following courses plus an additional 6 credits of Spanish courses of the student’s choosing at or above the 300 level:
Notes:
Any Spanish courses at or above the 300 level may be chosen to complete the additional 6 hours of required course work, with the exception of SPAN 366 - Spanish for Business , SPAN 367 - Spanish for the Medical Professions , and SPAN 398 - Spanish Practicum for the Professions , which apply solely to the Spanish for the Professions Minor.
- Some of the above requirements may be satisfied by Study Abroad courses. It is required that all Spanish minors planning to study abroad seek the advice of a Spanish faculty member before going out of the country. A Spanish Study Abroad Course Equivalency Request Form, available on the CML website, must also be completed and approved to facilitate course transfer. Failure to do so may result in some credits not being awarded for experience abroad.
- A minimum of nine credits of the coursework for the Spanish Minor must be completed at Truman State University or through a Truman State University faculty-led program.
- No grade of “D” is accepted toward the Spanish Minor.
- Only one Spanish minor can be pursued.
- Students earning a Spanish Minor may not also earn a Modern Language: Spanish major.
