Agricultural Business Minor

The food system depends on a supply chain that moves agricultural commodities from the sites of farm production through processing to their point of purchase in retail stores and restaurants. The Agricultural Business minor introduces students to the links in this supply chain, including information on the structure of agricultural markets, the price discovery process, the policies that shape risk management and conservation incentives, and the principles of business planning that underlie successful entrepreneurship in agriculture.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
- At least nine hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.

Program Requirements:
The Agricultural Business Minor is available to students completing any degree, including a B.S. in Agricultural Science.
- Students completing a B.S. in Agricultural Science may double-count up to 16 credits toward their major requirements (including AGSC electives and area of specialization) and the Agricultural Business Minor.
The Agricultural Business Minor requires the successful completion of 15-16 credits of courses, to include at least four of the following courses:
