Agricultural Studies Minor

Agriculture has a daily effect on the life of every person, both because it is the source of sustenance for the vast majority of the human population and because its practice has tremendous impacts on the biosphere. The Agricultural Studies minor is designed to introduce students of any major to food and agricultural systems. The minor includes an introductory course, one course focused on plant or soil science, one course focused on animal science, and one or more electives to total 15 credit hours.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
- At least nine hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.

The Agricultural Studies Minor requires the successful completion of 15-16 credits of courses, to include:

Electives to total at least 15 credits in the minor:
The remainder of the required 15 credits for the Agricultural Studies Minor may be met with any course bearing an AGSC prefix and is not limited to those courses listed above.
Note:
Neither AGSC 391 nor AGSC 392 Internship in Agriculture nor more than 3 credits of AGSC 301 Special Problems in Agricultural Science may be taken to fulfill the requirements of the Agricultural Studies Minor.
