Biology Minor

This combination of courses provides students with a solid foundation in the central theories and practices of the life sciences while allowing them to explore a particular area of biology in greater depth. From microbiology to mammalogy to mathematical biology, students can tailor their coursework to match their interests and career aspirations.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
- At least nine hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.
- The successful completion of all courses with a grade of ‘C’ or better.

Program Requirements:
The Biology Minor requires a minimum of 15 credits in biology courses.
Required Courses (8 credits):
Electives (7 credits):
The remainder of the required 15 credit hours for the Biology minor can be met with any approved BIOL course at the 200-level or above, with at least one of these courses having a laboratory component. Prerequisites for advanced courses must be fulfilled.
