Equine Studies Minor

The Equine Studies minor introduces students of any major to the scientific and business principles associated with use and ownership of horses for recreation, companionship, breeding, and sport. The minor includes 10 credit hours of required courses and 6 flexible credits that can be directed towards your particular area of interest within the equine industry.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
- At least nine hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.

Program Requirements:
The Equine Studies Minor is available to students completing any degree, including a B.S. in Agricultural Science. Students completing a B.S. in Agricultural Science may use up to 16 credits toward satisfying their major requirements (including AGSC electives and area of specialization) and the Equine Studies Minor. The Equine Studies Minor requires the successful completion of 16 credits as follows: Complete these Required Courses (7 credits)
Complete one of these two courses (3 credits)
And complete Six Credit hours from the following list of courses (6 credits)
