UX (user experience) design is human-first design, referring to the invisible/behind the scenes side of design. This encompasses design and user research, information architecture, interaction design, usability testing, and content strategy. UI (user interface) design refers to the visual or graphical side of design, usually digital.
The Web UX/UI Design Minor is looking at how UX/UI relates to web design to expand the knowledge of the student to understand how the interface and experience work together. By bringing both the technical (coding) and design areas together, the student will gain above average ability to plan, design, and execute the creation of websites.
