The Political Communication Minor prepares students to enter the world of political campaigns and political consulting. The minor is designed to give students a background in the theories of communication and political science, the structures of government and campaigns, and skills in message construction and persuasion; all elements necessary for work in political campaigns.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
- At least nine hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.
- The Political Communication Minor requires a minimum of 15 credits.
- A minimum of 9 credits should be completed at the 300-level or higher.
- Students can only take one 200-level course in each department.
- Courses in the minor cannot double count in the Communication or Political Science and International Relations major.
