Mathematical Biology Minor

Mathematical biology consists of the use of mathematical concepts and techniques to investigate biological systems. Representative research areas include modeling the kinetics of specific chemical reactions, analyzing the interactions among neurons within a nervous system, and predicting the success of species conservation plans.
GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS:
- A 2.00 GPA in minor requirements.
- At least nine hours of the program requirements must be completed at Truman State University.
- A minimum of 15 credits in minor courses as specified below.
Program Requirements:
The Mathematical Biology minor requires the successful completion of 15 credits of the following. Unless otherwise indicated, credits may count toward a student’s major.

Complete one of the following courses: Statistics
Complete one of the following courses: Electives
Complete at least 6 credits of the following courses. Credits from these courses MAY NOT count toward a student’s major(s). |
