Program Requirements:

Courses in this minor may double count for major requirements, as well as any part of the LSP.

The Statistics Minor will require the successful completion of the following coursework or their equivalent:

A. Required Courses: 12 Credit Hours

MATH 285 - Matrix Algebra Credits: 3 hours
Or
MATH 357 - Linear Algebra Credits: 3 hours
STAT 290 - Statistics Credits: 3 hours
STAT 570 - Mathematical Probability and Statistics I Credits: 3 hours
STAT 571 - Mathematical Probability and Statistics II Credits: 3 hours

B. Choose one from the list below: 3 Credit Hours

Statistical courses at the 300-level or above may be substituted for the section B requirement of the Statistics Minor with approval of the mathematics faculty.

STAT 374 - Statistical Quality Control Credits: 3 hours
STAT 375 - ANOVA/Experimental Design Credits: 3 hours
STAT 376 - Nonparametric Statistics/Sampling Credits: 3 hours
STAT 378 - Linear Regression/Time Series Credits: 3 hours
STAT 380 - Topics in Statistical Methods Credits: 1-3 hours
