POL 253 - Environmental Politics This course covers the evolution of the environmental movement in the United States; the social and political contexts of environmental policy making; the key institutions, groups, and processes involved in making environmental policy; and the theoretical guidelines employed in environmental decision making. In addition, discussions cover public policies concerning air quality, water quality and land use.

* This course fulfills the Social Scientific Mode of Inquiry and the Intercultural Interconnecting Perspective of the Liberal Studies Program.
