PHRE 320 - The Bible as Literature This is an interdisciplinary course that introduces you to the world of academic biblical scholarship primarily by familiarizing you with the many different types of literature in the Christian Bible. You are equipped with the necessary skills of interpretation and reflection that empower you to read the biblical texts in translation both sympathetically and critically. You also work with secondary readings that provide the historical, cultural, philosophical, and religious contextualizaiton that help you discover the meaning and significance of those texts.
Credits: 3 NOTE:
* This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
