THEA 420 - Playwriting A writing workshop focused on the craft of the playwright. Students will present multiple writings in class which are based on playwriting principles as presented by the instructor and the course textbook. The course concludes with a larger play that has gone through a revision process.
Prerequisites: THEA 275 - Introduction to the Theatre Arts and THEA 277 - Acting I: Elements of Acting with a “C” or higher. Credits: 3 NOTE:
* This is a writing-enhanced course.
** This course counts toward the 63-hour Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) graduation requirement.
*** This course fulfills the Aesthetic: Visual & Performing Arts Mode of Inquiry of the Liberal Studies Program.
