DS 120 - Introduction to Disability Studies This introductory course explores the reciprocal relationship between the disability experience and various sociocultural and societal factors. Students will develop a framework for understanding disability and its impact at personal, social, and societal levels. This course serves as the foundational course of the Disability Studies Minor. Students who complete the course will have a broad understanding of disability studies, the skills to apply a disability studies framework to their own courses of study, and the resources to investigate disability in their own major(s) throughout their college careers and beyond.
