ENG 419 - Linguistics and Literary Criticism


The student surveys and practices the investigative and descriptive techniques linguistics supplies for close reading, and applies this knowledge in an extended critical inquiry.

Prerequisite: ENG 209 - WE/Dialogues with Literature  OR ENG 211 - Perspectives on Literature and Film  with a grade of “C” or higher is recommended but not required.
