MATH 364 - Vector Analysis Divergence, curl, gradient, and Laplacian operators; the integral theorems of Green, Stokes and Gauss, with applications to the physical sciences. Additional topics may be chosen by instructor from the Dirichlet problem, Green’s function, harmonic functions, Helmholtz’s theorem, the Neumann problem, spherical harmonics, the Poisson integral, potential theory, tensors and differential forms.
Prerequisite: MATH 357 - Linear Algebra and grade of “C” or better in MATH 264 - Analytic Geometry and Calculus III . Credit(s): 3 Course Attribute(s):
