CMDS 567G - Neural Bases of Speech, Language, and Swallowing This course is designed to provide speech-language pathology undergraduate and graduate students with an introduction to human neuroanatomy and neurophysiology of speech, language, and swallowing mechanisms, across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on developing an understanding of the neurophysiological underpinnings of human communication and its disorders. This course is designed to prepare students for further study in neurologically based communication disorders.
Prerequisites: CMDS 470 or its equivalent, or admission to the Communication Disorders graduate program. Credit(s): 2
