MUSI 342 - Advanced Jazz Improvisation

The primary topics covered in Advanced Jazz Improvisation will include extended chord tones, scale/chord relationships for 13th chords and the minor ii-v7-i progression, time feel and rhythmic phrasing exercises, and linear solo construction.

Prerequisite: MUSI 333 - Jazz Improvisation  with a grade of ‘C’ or higher.
