CRWT 409 - Writing Workshop: Nonfiction


This writing workshop considers the versatility of the essay form, as well as the challenges and possibilities of writing original creative nonfiction. The class’s inquires into writing creative nonfiction take the form of active readings of textual models, in-class writings, take-home assignments, workshop participation, revisions, etc.

Prerequisites: Successful completion of CRWT 204 - Creative Writing  with a grade of “B” or better AND successful completion of CRWT 355 - Introduction to Literary Genres: Poetry CRWT 356 - Introduction to Literary Genres: The Novel CRWT 357 - Introduction to Literary Genres: The Short Story , OR CRWT 358 - Introduction to Literary Genres: Nonfiction  with a grade of “C” or better.
