PDAT 622G - Narrative, Argument, and Persuasion in Data Science


This course develops an understanding of theory and skills in constructing a relevant, ethical, and engaging message using data that tells a coherent, persuasive story to relevant audiences of technical experts and non-experts. Upon completion of the course, successful students will understand how traditional ideas of rhetoric are still appropriate today and how to approach turning a dataset into a story.

Prerequisites: PDAT 610G - Introduction to Data Science  and PDAT 611G - Big Data Management .
