HIST 3120 - Rights, Resistance, Race: American Revolutions, 1763-1800


This course examines the Revolution as a political, intellectual, and social process that began as protest against British imperial policies; erupted into an independence movement that contained conservative leanings and radical potential; laid the seeds for a new empire and inspired the French Revolution; and returned to America with the Haitian revolt.
