MUSI 337 - Jazz Arranging and Composition Study of arranging and composition for small jazz ensembles. This includes fundamentals of notation, orchestration, rhythmic and melodic development, jazz harmony, vertical sonorities for 2-5 parts, and basic forms. May be repeated for credit.
Prerequisites: MUSI 130 - Music Analysis I , MUSI 131 - Music Analysis II , MUSI 132 - Aural Skills in Music I , MUSI 133 - Aural Skills in Music II , and sophomore status or above. Credit(s): 2 When Offered: Fall Only, Odd Calendar Years
