LATN 550G - Latin Composition for Educators This course is an in-depth study of Latin grammar, syntax, and vocabulary for the purpose of composting Latin prose and using it as a teaching tool in the classroom. Students will analyze the prose styles of both Roman authors and modern writers/speakers of Latin, and compose original Latin. After practicing different types of composition (written and oral) and discussing best practices in Classical pedagogy, students will apply skills and knowledge to Latin lesson plans and teaching demonstrations.
Registration Restriction: BA in Classics or consent of the instructor. Credit(s): 3
