STAT 322 - Intermediate Data Science An extension of a STAT 220 introduction to the fast-growing field of data-science, including Data Pre-processing, Data Visualization, Feature Engineering, and Predictive Modeling. It will continue to investigate the advantages and boundaries of traditional statistical inference, application of statistical reasoning to model selection, optimization and predictions. Security issues in analytics and related areas (big data, networks, etc.) will be discussed throughout.
Prerequisites: STAT 220 and prior or concurrent enrollment in either CS 170 or CS 180 . Credit(s): 3 When Offered: Classroom, Online, Hybrid.
