CANM 300 - Cannabis Cultivation and Processing


This course will cover topics related to breeding, growing, and processing cannabis. Course will cover the multiple strains of cannabis for various uses including seed, fiber, medicinal and recreational. Specific topics will include indoor and outdoor growth conditions, light requirements, growth media, nutrition, care schedules, harvest timing, pests, diseases and an introduction in to processing such as drying and curing. The laboratory component will utilize non-THC containing hemp plants throughout.

Prerequisites: AGSC 110 - Principles of Plant Agriculture , BIOL 107 - Cells, Molecules, and Genes , and CANM 200 - History of Natural Medicine .
